Parler Cloud Technologies Acquires Edgio’s EdgeCast Assets

Plano, Texas – January 29, 2025 – Parler Cloud Technologies (PCT), a leading provider of enterprise private cloud solutions, is pleased to announce the acquisition of hardware and software assets related to Edgio’s EdgeCast content delivery network (CDN) in approximately 25 global locations and expects to hire 120 Edgio employees. EdgeCast, who previously supported the stream of the Super Bowl, was previously a separate CDN provider, owned by Yahoo, which was later acquired by Limelight Networks to form Edgio. This strategic move includes a one-year license on certain intellectual property, significantly strengthening Parler Cloud Technologies’ infrastructure and expanding its service capabilities, and expands the company’s footprint of data center locations from 5 data centers in North America to 25 data centers in 7 countries.
