This little @maximdefense PDX is surprisingly accurate for a gun with a 5.5” barrel and a RDS. I was hitting steel at 300 yards using 125gr @fiocchi_ammunition supers.
The @brownellsinc BRN180 pistol in .300BLK is ready for the range! On the barrel I have a @x2devgroup Orion flow-through silencer. The @sb.tactical triangle brace and @trijicon MRO on a @midwestindustries mount round out this modern take on a classic. The Brownells lower uses standard AR15 parts and really gives a clean look to the complete gun vs. a standard AR lower. What do you all think? Are you glad the classic AR180 is alive again?
Some of you may have heard about this. The Dems are making procedural moves in the House that indicate they may be trying to push a bill through very quickly to minimize any debate or news coverage. It seems to be focused on banning private sales of firearms and stopping the automatic transfer of a delayed firearm purchase after 3 days. I will know more tomorrow and will share updates with you. This is some of that low hanging fruit we recently mentioned in a livestream with GOA that could give Biden a “win” on his campaign promise to pass anti-gun laws. We have to watch out for weak kneed republicans on this too. As soon as I have more info I will share it. Don’t freak out but warm up those phones and email clients. @gunownersofamerica
The X95 got a new OSS HX Ti silencer and I dropped down to a @CloudDefensive Rein Micro light (smaller). Then the guys at Cloud Defense hooked me up with a slightly longer switch cable and now it’s in an even better spot. The Elcan is the best Bullpup optic on the market, IMHO. This is an amazing rifle.
Almost there with the @danieldefense DD5V3. I just need to get a @oss_suppressors on there and I think it’s good to go. I have about 100 rounds through it of American Eagle 150gr ball. Then I shot two 5 shot groups with some Hornady 168’s. Both were 1 MOA. At 1 MOA I’m satisfied. The @primaryarms Raptor M2 1-8x ACSS scope is mounted via a @midwestindustries mount. The @trijicon RMR is mounted via a Trijicon offset mount. The @clouddefensive Rein Micro sits out front and that’s a @lancersystems 25 round mag stuffed in the mag hole. Rifles like this I place in the “do it all” category. They have the power and range to do most anything you could ask of a rifle in The lower 48. It’s just at home as a defensive rifle as it is in the field as a food getter. The biggest downside is across the board; price. The guns are expensive and the ammo is expensive. Under normal market conditions it’s a bit more palatable. The only other downside is weight, but that’s a lazy fat body issue. 😂
Passing along tradition is part of my job description as a dad. To understand how we got to where we are today, you must understand where we came from. History is fun, especially when it’s told through a day at the range with your son. I dug out a case of 6.5x52 PPU I had tucked away and took my new M91 Carbine from @classicfirearms up to Brass Hill to explain this WWI era rifle to my son. Then I taught him how to load the enbloc clip, how to seat the clip into the rifle with its 6 rounds and how to use the very course sights. He’s a chip off the old block. He enjoys the classics as much as he does the new high speed stuff.
The very simple yet effective Italian M91 Carcano Moschetto. Often called a “cavalry carbine” the Italians really didn’t have much of a cavalry and it was used by special operations, bicycle troops or even support personnel due to its smaller handy size vs. the rifle version. Chambered in 6.5x52 it’s got plenty of punch. The distinctive under folding bayonet helps to easily identify the carbine. An interesting feature is the gain rifling that starts at a 1:19” twist then increases to 1:8”. For its time, this was a fearsome 6 round bolt action rifle that fired from an internal enbloc clip. Simple and robust, it served well in WWI and later in WWII with the updated 91/38 variant. I nabbed this one recently from @classicfirearms. I have several Carcano rifles including one used by the WWII Japanese navy. Do you like old rifles like these? If so, let’s get a video done! #wwi #wwii #italy #carbine
I was out sighting in the @PalmettoStateArmory ARV 9mm carbine today that uses Scorpion EVO mags. Cool idea guys, it also seems to be well made so far. I love what PSA is doing these days. As of this post these are still in stock.
