There is rumor of Seneca Lake having an underground waterway between it and Cayuga Lake. We used to hear stories about how military could take submarines through it for practice and there used to be some sort of Naval platform on it for sonar testing. Seneca Lake is 635’ deep at deepest point. A gorge within a gorge. Along the east side of Seneca Lake is the really huge abandoned Seneca Army Depot. Old abandoned bunkers are there.
