Easter is very simply friends.
God created us. He had a vision for us. We rebelled (big surprise) and this created a brokenness or a distance between us and God. We do not have the ability, power, or right to fix it. Eventually, God came to the earth in the form of a man named Jesus.
Jesus' perfection enabled Him to be in a position to fix the brokenness between us and God. But, He had to allow Himself to be sacrificed because that was God's demand. So, He did because He knew that was what He came to do.
It is because of Jesus that we have reconciliation with God and the ability to rejoice knowing that our lives, although they are but a breath, are secure now and forever into eternity.
Why and how? Because of the work that Jesus did, not us, on the cross. And, that is why we celebrate Easter.
Know this, it is not because we are so good because we are still rebels and we still choose many things over God. It is because of Jesus that we have joy and hope.

When the real news about Jan. 6th comes out that exonerates conservative constitutionalists, will the media report it? Will they actually say the things that the President did to try to prevent the breach? Will they be fair with their evaluation of the use of rhetoric across party lines? Will the American people be ready to receive the actual truth and also ready to reject content that is purposely placed to support a certain political outcome?
